The southwest borough is lately simply rejuvenated. With it's latest addition, Arthurs Nosh Bar as the new hot spot to have breakfast, brunch and lunch I feel I'm in heaven.
With it's impeccable interior design, family portraits on the walls and a perfect penny-tiled floor, the overall ambiance of this tiny jewish style restaurant will surprise you, Happy first month in the hood, Arthurs!
I visited the resto with a friend who explained me and helped to select what we had that day, I'm still dreaming about this smoked salmon.
Inspired by Russ&Daughters, Arthurs has a Canadian-jewish adapted menu, which was fantastic! We had a few different "Noshes" or small plates to share, including this magnificent salmon, Matzah ball soup, Potato latkes and of course dessert.
Arthurs' menu has most of the european classics including perogies, schnitzels, latkes and lots of smoked meat to simply die for.
Their staff is so friendly, they passed by our table asking if we were enjoying our stay and just smiling at Olivia, which ate that day a full slice of bread, lol.
|Hi cutie lady (:|
Arthurs is the new trendy place of the city, so you have to be early to find a table (they don't take reservations).
And no, don't think this is just a deli style place, it's way beyond that, bringing to St-Henri the most delicious jewish delights and I have to say, this hood is the new foodie haven! - never-going-to-move.
P.s. I'm not a food critic, I'm just a foodie enjoying new experiences with my little ones, hubby and friends (:
Here's what we ordered this day:
- Matzah soup
- Smoked salmon with cream cheese and a toast
- Babka for dessert with a black coffee
|Don't leave without having a Babka. |
Arthurs Nosh Bar
4621 Rue Notre Dame Ouest
Wed - Sun 8am to 3pm
Reservations: No, they don't take any. The place only has 28 seats so, hurry!
Kids Friendly: totally. they don't have a room for a stroller, so I just had my little car seat chair. Also, there's no changing table, I changed Olivia's diaper before going in :)
