2 Montreal Spots with Delicious Comfort Fall Food

I can’t help it. With cooler mornings and evenings,  I’m just craving all the soups and all the warm classic comfort food my mom did when I was a child. Instead of looking for places with big terraces and cocktails, I’m on the lookout for cozy and cute restaurants with anything good that can keep us warm during Fall. As a Fall lover,  I recently discovered two lovely spots in the city I adored, so grab a friend now and enjoy them!
SoupeSoup, Mile-EndOne of my favorite options when it comes to soups in the city recently opened a new spot with the coziest interior design and with a delightful and fresh menu that changes every day, serving delicious soups du jour, salads, sandwiches, desserts, coffee and fresh drinks. This new flagship restaurant is bright, with lots of space and family friendly. What we had: we tried the special of the day including a beet, carrot and tomato soup with two grilled cheese sandwiches *nom nom* and the classic ham sandwich ciabatta. SoupeSoup offers both hot and cold soups and several desserts as well.Tip: Try to stop here early to catch all the soups available daily, unfortunately, I only had one option that day, but no worries, I’m coming back for more soon (:

FoiegwaFoiegwa is one of the latest additions to St-Henri. The much-anticipated spot has brought the ‘upscale French diner’ concept to life with its amazing branding and outstanding meals you’ll adore. Their lunch menu includes plenty of perfectly prepared comfort food, featuring classics like steak frites, beef tartare, and a top-notch onion soup. End your lunch with a sweet treat, their dark chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream is simply superb. You’ll regret it if you don’t have it!What we had: Onion soup and french fries, Croque monsieur, Homemade butter & black truffle spaghetti and finished off with a chocolate mousseTip: They have a bar license so it’s 18+ only. Also, space is limited, call before to make sure you can get a table.

SoupeSoup5333 Rue Casgrain #101Mon – Fri 8am to 6pmPrince range: $Kids friendly: yes, absolutely. You’ll have a lot of room and high chairs.
